Frequently Asked Questions

  • Terrain:
    • The ride will offer on and off-road riding, and it is advised for participants to have an intermediate level of experience with mixed conditions. Though we will do everything we can to support individual riders with challenging routes, riders should feel comfortable with off-road application, as well as management of vehicles (height, weight, control) in these circumstances. Lastly, riders should be prepared to ride for long periods of time, over long distances, as this ride will cover more than 200 miles on most days.
  • Gear Requirements:
    • We require use of a DOT certified helmet regardless of local laws. 
    • We require participants to cover themselves, no skin showing, head to toe gear (boots, pants, jacket, gloves) and we suggest a back protector
    • Please be prepared for any and all weather conditions (Ex. cold mornings, hot afternoons, possible rain, high winds, etc.). We will continue rain or shine unless conditions become a safety hazard. 
    • We are not providing any gear rentals
  • Full Board:
    • Full board means all meals will be covered - we will have plans for each day, and have staff grab food when not available. We will also carry some snacks and beverages in sprinter/chase vehicle for activities. 
  • Rooming:
    • All attendees will have individual lodging. Passengers are not allowed on this trip.
  • What bike will I be able to ride?
    • The Tuareg 660 will be the only bike available to rent. Select vehicles will be fitted with side cases
  • Refund:
    • Any cancelation request received 30 days prior to the event will receive a full refund. 
    • Any cancelation request received within 30 days of the event will not receive a refund unless the space can be filled by a waitlisted participant.
  • What happens if my gear does not fit on the bike?
    • We will have a chase vehicle following us along our trip which will carry any extra belongings, though customers are asked to limit their items to a single gear bag to stow, and a backpack to wear while riding if needed.
  • How large is the group?
    • Approximately 12 total riders including staffing
  • What happens if COVID causes the trip to be canceled?
    • If the event gets canceled due to new COVID regulations, a full refund will be issued to all current registrants.
  • Transportation:
    • All participants are required to organize their own transportation to and from the starting and ending locations, at their own cost.
  • Medical Care:
    • All participants must provide proof of medical insurance. In addition to individual insurance, the activity will include medivac coverage for all riders, to add additional safety precautions.
